Still

Everyone's moving on with their life.
Everyone took a step in the right direction.
You stood still, waiting for something to happen.
You stood still, waiting for the world to catch you.

They seldom look back.

Listen to your sad songs.
Write your dumb poems.
Feel the warm tears.

Nothing helps.
Nothing changes until you do.

Take the leap.
Take the jump.
Take the dive.

Just take a step.

I want so much out of life. I want to do so many things. I have so many dreams. So many huge dreams. But I don't do anything. I feel like I can't do anything. I feel like I can't deal with anything anymore. Everything is happening so fast. Again. I'm going to just shut down. I can't just shut down. I don't know what to do. I never knew what to do.

Nothing's going to change. I am what I am. I am nothing.

Let's rant

There is this new show, on NBC Thursdays, called Whitney. It comes on after all my favourite programming, so I thought I would try it out. Community- Wonderful. Parks and Recreation- Wonderful. The Office- Wonderful. Whitney- Turned it off after four minutes.

I right away could not go from a filmed show, to two mocumentaries, to a show filmed in front of a live studio audience. The pause loud laughter after every stupid joke made me want to cry. To me, it feels like it takes away what you personally find funny. SNL is also filmed in front of a live audience, but it is a live show, so it's okay.

The following Friday, I saw that Whitney was on. I thought, for a good continence, I better sit through one full episode to really be able to judge it. The show is bad. And through the entire episode, only one line I can remember. The line was a rape joke. It was about how the boyfriend still had sex with her even though she was drugged on Tylenol PM. It just pissed me off more then anything. Like, that is not funny.

So, the show is bad. But my rant does not stop there. The creator of the show, and it just so happens that she stars in it too, is Whitney Cummings. Now, it's one thing to make a bad show, but it's another to talk bad about other shows while your show is out there being awful.

Whitney talks about how her show will save NBC. How her show can be relatable because she doesn't think shows have sexy, relatable characters anymore. That's what pisses me off. We have Liz Lemon, and Leslie Knope, and all the women on Community, (mostly Britta Perry).

Whitney is just a cliche show about relationships. Whitney is just 'one of the guys' who has a bad sex life so she tries to spice things up with a sexy costume. Never heard of that shit before.

Whitney was picked up for a full season today, that's why I decided to rant about how awful it is. So, to recap: Whitney the show = The worst. Whitney the person = The worst.

Get out of NBC Thursdays, bitch.

Late night television

As a lover of TV and an insomniac, I tend to watch a lot of late night TV. Every weeknight from 12:37am to 1:37am I watch Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Later then this I catch an episode of Friends, or The Office, or what ever is on. These wonderful shows are not what I have come to rant about.

The commercials.

I can't stand late night commercials. Those fucking commercials where they get a bunch of hot, boobs falling out of their shirts, blonde, baby voiced, women to prance around pretending to look sexy on the phone so desperate men will call and pay money. To talk. To a fake lady. Those ones where it is like 'local singles' and 'easy meet-ups' make me want to die. They should have a disclaimer about whoring around, because let's face it, this is not to get to know a person.

I wonder how these things stay in business. Do any actual women call? If they do, they must be very popular. I kind of want to call one day, just to see if it's like instant phone sex with some creepy forty-year-old married man that's hiding in his garage so no one will hear him, or if it's just like, hey, what's up, I'm Jack, for legal reasons that is not my real name, meet me at this address in ten.

The whole idea of it pisses me off and the fact that they play the commercial every five seconds pisses me off more. This brings me to my next point.

The Network.

Late Night With Jimmy Fallon is aired on NBC. Since NBC is an American network, I get transferred to a Canadian network that is also airing it. I would be fine with this if it was Global or CTV or one of the other bigger, Canadian networks, but no. It's called A Network, whatever the hell that means. It is like super ghetto and I hate it. The graphics are bad. The commercials are horrible.

Another commercial that plays a lot is an ad for a wall clip that you can put your tissue box on. The ad shows how if the box is on a counter, babies can wreak havoc on it or it can fall in a toilet. Like shit man, my tissues need a better place to live! Sure, in some ways I can find this useful. But it is ugly. There are these two, metal clips that you have to nail onto your wall. The commercial shows, with abuse, how easy you can smash your box onto the clips and how it is just as easy to take the box off. But what about the hanger? No, it's there forever.

You can tell this old man was fed up with his tissue box falling in the toilet, so he bent some metal and drilled it to the wall. His daughter came over and was like, "Daddy! You is so smart man! Sell this! THE WOLD NEEDS TO KNOW!" This is probably the only ad time they could afford, on the ghetto network. It's quite sad. I hope they sell a lot. That is all their investments. That is their future. (Also, they had a bunch of different tissue brands, that they probably didn't have permission to use, maybe they will get sued.)

It is worth it though, to be able to enjoy Jimmy Fallon.

I FOUND THE COMMERCIAL!

No hate, give it some love. Like it. It had 18 views when I found it. It needs love. Maybe we can kill it with kindness.

I wrote the first comment, it says: I see this commercial like 90 times when I'm watching Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. It really brightens up my late night TV experience.. Thank you. Your product seems very useful.

They better appreciate it.

Wait, this is actually really fucking weird. It was uploaded on the 9th. So, like yesterday. And I decide to write about it today!? Ahh. I know too much!

Honey And The Bee

I know you all missed these. All three of you wonderful people! This song is magical; it is off of All Things Bright And Beautiful. Since that album has come out, I can honestly say I have not listened to anything else on my iPod. At all. True fact.

I thought the song sounded cute on ukulele. So, here you go, a cute song played on a cute instrument, played by a cute person. LOLJK.

Honey And The Bee - Owl City:

I think we can officially dub this shirt my cover shirt.

I also like how this song is supposed to be a duet with a boy and a girl. With my lyric changing skills, I bet you didn't even know.

Now I just want to do a total 180 and talk about something I hate. I hate it when people compare songs to other songs. This song sounds like this song, blah blah. Why can't people just take each song for what is it? It's not like the artist stole the music or anything. It just happens to sound similar. Accept it and move on with your life.

That just really bugs me. Also, how every new, young artist is 'The Next Justin Bieber'. Or, 'The Girl Version of Justin Bieber'. Yes, Justin Bieber is successful. Yes, he is young. Yes, people want to aspire to be like him. Does that mean they are going to overshadow him? Does that mean they are going to do exactly what he does? Does that mean that every artist wants to be just like fucking Justin Bieber? No. No, it does not.

So, there you have it. A cover and a rant. I should start a talk show.

Dumb Bitches

There is nothing that pisses me off more then a dumb bitch.

I know what you're thinking, "Stephanie, there are so many types of dumb bitches in the world. What kind are you referring to?"
Well whoever just asked that, I will tell you.

One of the things I hate most is school. At school you will find an endless supply of dumb bitches. Today I will follow a couple kinds of them. These are their stories (dun dun). (If you didn't get that it was Law and Order.) (If you did, congratulations.)

Stopping in the hall
In their natural habitat - the hallway between classes - dumb bitches find it necessary to either stop abruptly or turn around to share make-up secrets with fellow dumb bitches. Dumb bitches feel no need to walk to to side first, like us norm, and then go about their business. Such as picking up a shiny object off the floor that caught their eyes.

Opening doors
Now, don't get me wrong, this isn't about me expecting the dumb bitches to open doors for me. This is about simply keeping the doors open. There are doors you have to open before the stairwells. Between classes the stairwells are busy, obviously. So, the doors obviously need to stay open for people to walk through. Dumb bitches do not understand this concept. The door is open, they walk through. The door closes on the next person. Stephanie does not comprehend! Are you too weak? Are you unaware? Do you think you're better then everyone else? No, you're just a dumb bitch.

Talking
Dumb bitches feel the need to talk. Loudly. About things that really shouldn't matter. I'm not saying that it's wrong to be talking about shit with your friend, but is it necessary to shout in the hallway, "OH TO THE EM TO THE GEE, STACY WAS TALKING SHIT ABOUT ME!" Yes by the way, dumb bitches like to rhyme their sentences. I wish one of the dumb bitch's friend who is more on the norm side would just smack her and tell her to calm her shit. This would result in a high-five and an overall win for the norm society.

Remembering
Hi, dumb bitch, it's me Stephanie. I know you know my name. Guess what, it's not 'that girl'. You. Know. My. Name. Once again, Stephanie does not comprehend. Dumb bitches continue to surprise me.

Clans
Dumb bitches always travel in packs of 4 or more. It all depends on time of day. Lunch time seems to be dumb bitch meetup of the century. There they are sitting, not eating, talking loudly, making a scene. I wonder what's going inside their heads. Do they think if they go to the bathroom alone they will be ambushed and turned into a norm? I don't think it is that easy. Years of electroshock therapy may only make a dent.

Well, there's my rant. Next time a dumb bitch pisses you off think of this and remember: Dumb bitches are harder to come across in the real world. Smack the people that say high school never ends. If that is the case then I am leaving this world.
